  13. This is Karen's Font Explorer described in Karen's Power Tools newsletter.

  16. This program displays a list of all devices attached to your 
  17. computer that support fonts (printers, and the screen). When you 
  18. select a device, the program displays a list of fonts supported 
  19. by that device.  Select a font, and you'll see a sample of the 
  20. font on-screen.  You can also print samples of any or all fonts 
  21. supported by a device.

  24. Installation

  27. 1.  If you have not already done so, download and install the 
  28.     Visual Basic Runtime v6.0.  It can be downloaded from:

  32.     To install the runtime, execute the downloaded file, vbrun60-setup.exe.

  34. 2.  Execute ptfonts-setup.exe.  This is a self-installing archive program.

  38. Use

  40. Run the program by double-clicking PTFonts's icon.  The program will then 
  41. display a window containing a list of all devices attached to your computer 
  42. that support fonts (all printers, plus the screen).

  44. To display the fonts supported by a device, click once on the device's 
  45. name in the Device list.

  47. To see an on-screen sample of a font, click once on its name in the 
  48. Fonts list.

  50. To print samples of one or more fonts, select the fonts from the Fonts 
  51. list (by <Shift>-<Clicking> each font's name).  Then click the Print 
  52. Selected button.

  54. To print samples of all font supported by a device, select the device 
  55. from the Device list, then click the Print All button.
